Karen Lander

Karen Lander has been teaching piano and music theory from her home studio in Warsaw for over ten years and now also teaches from her Peterborough studio on Dublin Street. Teaching music is a second career for Karen who has been active in the arts community  for some time. She is a Founding Director of the Kawartha Youth Orchestra which she managed for the first year. Karen continues to study music performance and pedagogy, is completing the final theory requirements for her ARCT, and attends summer workshops and conferences to bring new ideas and a fresh approach to her teaching. She received a Royal Conservatory of Music Silver Medal in Elementary Piano Pedagogy, and holds an honours B.A. in English from the University of Waterloo and Graduate Diploma in Creative Writing from the Humber School of Writers.
